1. A reasonable cash deposit is required for orders where parts must be removed or ordered from other sources. No refund on deposits.
2. Exchange parts must be returned at the time of purchase or a core charge will be assessed. The core charge will be refunded if the exchange parts are brought in within 90 days. Defective parts must be returned within 10 days. The refund of the core charge will not include sales tax. According to Michigan sales tax rulings, an invoice must accompany a id by check, refunds will be paid 10 working days from date the customer's check was accepted.
3. All engines are warranted against cracked cylinder blocks or heads, bad cam or crankshaft, excessive smoking, and to be in good running order, unless otherwise stated.
4. Cylinder heads are guaranteed against cracks only!
5. The used engine you have purchased must have new oil and filter installed upon installation.
6. You must provide for a new tune-up upon installation of motor (points, plugs, plug wires, etc.)
7. This warranty does not cover attached items or accessories (water pump, fuel pump, carburetor, distributer, computers, etc.)
8. Transmissions are warranted to be in good working order against slippage or shifting failures.
9. Engines and transmissions must have new seals and new oil installed upon installation into vehicle. (warranty does not cover rear main engine seals.)
10. Rear ends are guaranteed to work properly, gears are guaranteed to be in good condition. Bearings are guaranteed not noisy at time of purchase. There is no guarantee for labor to install or remove.
11. Vehicles which have Thorton's All-Star Auto Salvage engines and transmissions installed must have proper capacity cooling systems and be in good condition.
12. Proper oil levels and cooling levels must be maintained at all times for warranty to be valid.
13. All cylinder heads and engines have heat tabs installed on them. If the tab is melted, missing, or damaged, warranty is void.
14. Defective engine or transmission must remain installed in vehicle until an authorized Thorton's All-Star Auto Salvage representative confirms defect.
15. No refunds on special order parts.
16. All glass is sold "AS IS" at time of sale.
17. No refunds or returns on cut-to-order body sections.
18. All electrical items guaranteed for a period of 30 days.
19. All defective parts must have the Thorton's All-Star Auto Salvage identification label on them. NO EXCEPTIONS!
20. All warranty work must be done by Thorton's All-Star Auto Salvage certified shop, or permission to do work must be given by an authorized agent of Thorton's All-Star Auto Salvage.
21. All implied warranties are limited to the terms of the limited warranty. Consequencial or incidental damages are not covered under the warranty.
22. Warranties on any product sold shall be in effect only for the duration of the express warranties contained herein and upon conclusion of the expressed warranties herein. There shall be no warranties expressed or implied including merchantibility and fitness for use on the product sold.
23. This warranty is not transferable and does not cover damage if parts are used in connection with racing purposes or vehicles with racing equiptment or damage by accident or misuse.
24. Improper installation will void warranty.
25. Warranty is void without reciept.
26. 25% handling charge on all returned merchandise. No exchanges after 30 days.
27. No refunds, guarantees, or exchanges on carburteors.
28. Thorton's All-Star Auto Salvage does not assume responsibility for towing charges, lay-up time, telephone, loss due to down time, cost of lodging, or cost of vehicle use.
29. Any merchandise or invoice marked "AS IS" will void this certificate of limited warranty. This means no warranty-no refund.
